Babylab
In our projects, we want to find out more about how babies and young children perceive and discover the world around them. We are particularly interested in social and emotional development.
Knowledge-Based Vision
The Knowledge-Based Vision Lab studies how visual attention and expectations shape perception. Using fMRI, EEG, and computational modeling, the team investigates how the brain efficiently processes complex visual inputs into meaningful concepts.
Musicians' Health
Psychology and music-making come together in our research group. In particular, the psychological processes involved in stage fright and performance anxiety are the subject of research. The working group also deals with the neuronal plasticity of musicians.
Cognitive Neurosciences
Our research group deals with the neurobiological basis of affective behavior and social interactions. The focus lies on topics such as empathy and aggression and the influence of hormones.
